Comfort Bags

We take Comfort Bags to patients in the hospital that contain stuffed animals, disposable camera, information regarding Congenital Heart Defects and our organization, hand sanitizer, snacks and many more things to help ease the burden as much as possible. If you or someone you know is interested in donating Comfort Bag items or starting up a Comfort Bag Drive, you can contact comfortbags@itsmyheart.org.

Please contact us if you wish to donate any of these items or if you are interested in setting up a Comfort Bag Drive. We distribute approximately 500 Comfort Bags every month for a total of 10,000 bags a year!

• Small to medium size (6″-12″) stuffed animals (MUST BE NEW)
• Crayons (24 pack)
• Blank drawing pads or coloring books
• Pens
• Puzzle books – sudoku, crossword, word find, etc.
• Spiral notebooks or notepads (plain 8.5 x 11, lined paper)
• Folders with pockets (plain)
• Trial Size – hand lotion
• Trial Size – hand sanitizer
• Chapstick
• Tissue packs – mini pocket size
• Individually Wrapped Snacks – mints, gum, small candy bars, mini raisin boxes, pretzels

Please remember that except for the stuffed animals, crayons and drawing pads, the items we fill the bags with are for the parents. Also due to limited space in the bags, please purchase trial size where indicated.
