Stories should focus on the experience while pregnant as this is what the reader will currently be going through. Consider the following while writing your story: How did you find out your new baby had a CHD? How did you feel? Were you scared? Were you angry? Did you try to place blame somewhere? Did you have trouble talking to people about your pregnancy? Did you not want to have a shower? How did you plan for the birth of your child? What other circumstances made your experience unique? Did your child also have another disorder or disability? Was this your first child? Were you expecting multiples? Are you a military family? Did you go through the experience with a partner or were you single?
